Redmon's goals lift Nashville to 3-1 victory over Breezy Point

The Nashville Jr. Predators relied on the scoring touch of Nicholas Redmon, who netted two goals, to beat the Breezy Point North Stars, 3-1.

Redmon scored on the power play at 14:41 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Nashville and again while 19:56 into the third to make the score 3-1 Nashville.

Nashville's Nathan Klebe was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 33 saves and let only one puck past him. Klebe managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.99 prior to the game.

Breezy Point's power play was ineffective against the Jr. Predators' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Nashville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. The Jr. Predators were held below their usual level of production. Nashville puts an average of 5.1 pucks into the net per game. The Jr. Predators forced the North Stars goalie Jaxson Gosnell to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots. Nashville got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Colton Anderson also scored for Nashville. In addition, Nashville received assists from Rudolfs Kalvitis, who had two and Jacob Lainesse and Trent Kulczyk, who each chipped in one.

Breezy Point's offense rang up 34 shots on the Jr. Predators' net. The North Stars struggled on the penalty kill, allowing Nashville to score three power play goals on four chances.

Breezy Point was led by Ryan Mezera, who scored the team's only goal. Mezera scored 4:30 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Linder Kenyon provided the assist.

The Jr. Predators incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Gosnell rejected 43 shots on goal for the North Stars. Breezy Point ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major.
