Austin Jackson finished with two points to lead the North Iowa Bulls to a 4-1 victory over the Granite City Lumberjacks.

North Iowa put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Granite City to score on any of its four power plays. The Bulls forced the Lumberjacks goalie Jesse Garcia to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. North Iowa could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 22 minutes in penalties during the game.

North Iowa additionally got points from Dylan Zins, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for North Iowa included Sam Naegele and Brett Gravelle, who each put in one. In addition, North Iowa received assists from Ryan Durant, Joe Kleven, Travis Johnston, and Trey Gardner, who each chipped in one.

Granite City could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Lumberjacks put an average of 4.3 pucks into the net per game. Granite City could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Lumberjacks were led by Jared Sprink, who scored the team's only goal. Sprink scored 17:08 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Dallas Marvin picked up the assist.

Tommi Ahlgren recorded 24 saves for the Bulls. North Iowa registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Granite City's Garcia stopped 29 shots out of the 33 that he faced.
