The Dallas Jr. Stars tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Point Mallard Ducks would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2. A goal by Justin Dunn put Point Mallard up 3-1 in the second period, but Dallas pulled to within one on Tyler Valentin's tally 5:21 into the third period. Dunn was all over the ice for the Ducks, as he grabbed two goals in the win. Point Mallard also got a goal from Stephen Coulter as well. Other players who recorded assists for Point Mallard were Noah Gilreath, Jake Champaign, Jake Cox, Grant Dukus, Justin Provencher, and Justin Delisle, who contributed one each. The Jr. Stars were ineffective while on the power play, as they were held to two goals off of nine man advantages. Dallas was helped by Blake McIntyre, who registered one goal. McIntyre scored on the power play 19:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dallas. The Jr. Stars had gained a power play chance when Chris Corgan was whistled for too many men. Travis Hall picked up the assist. Dallas also got points from Valentin, who also had one goal and one assist. Billy Wager recorded 13 saves for Point Mallard. The Ducks incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. Clayton Pierce rejected 19 shots on goal for Dallas. The Jr. Stars incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
