Barlow leads Cleveland over Metro, 5-2Cleveland Heights CC Sun, Nov 02, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks' John Barlow had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 5-2 win over the Metro Jets. Barlow scored 4:16 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Metro. Tyler Dalton provided the assist. Barlow dished an assist on Daniel Goodwin's goal that made the score 3-2 Cleveland at 6:42 into the third period. He added another helper on Dalton's goal that made the score 5-2 Cleveland at 18:43 into the third period.Cleveland found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Jr. Lumberjacks average 2.4 goals per game. Cleveland additionally got points from Dalton, who also grabbed one goal and three assists to lead the team in points and Goodwin, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Cleveland included Aaron Schmitt and Ryker Barber, who each put in one. In addition, Cleveland received assists from Mitch Renstrom, Edvards Klava, Zack Mlady, and Patrick Briggs, who contributed one each. Metro excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Jets could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Metro averages 4.3 goals per game. The Jets kept Cleveland's goalie busy throughout the game, and Alec Rounds made 30 saves on 32 shots. Metro was helped by Jason Newel, who tallied one goal.
