The Nashville Jr. Predators had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 9-3 win over the Cincinnati Swords.

Nick Mammel had two goals and one assist to lead Nashville. Mammel scored the first of his two goals at 1:52 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Nashville. Cole Helgemo picked up the assist. Mammel's next tally made the score 3-1 Nashville with 8:01 left in the first period. Alex Durand assisted on the tally.

The Jr. Predators forced Swords' netminders to work between the pipes, totaling 36 shots and forcing 27 saves. Brandon Kruger made 20 stops and James Schroeder made seven. Nashville found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Jr. Predators average 5.9 goals per contest. Nashville's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals.

Nashville also got points from Jesse Hyde, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Zach Greenwood, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Nicholas Redmon, who also had one goal and two assists, and Durand, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Nashville included Matiss Gelazis, Ben Falk, and Nickolas Tandeski, who each put in one. In addition, Nashville received assists from Rudolfs Kalvitis, who had three, Kyle Van Wyk and Nathaniel Chiarizzio, who contributed one each, and Jacob Lainesse, Colton Anderson, and Spencer Marchand, who each chipped in two.

Cincinnati stifled the Jr. Predators' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Swords were helped by Addison Collins, who racked up one goal. Collins scored on the power play 8:56 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Nashville. A slashing penalty on Falk had put Cincinnati on the power play. Adam Goudelock provided the assist. Cincinnati also had goals scored by Hunter Schneider and Brenden Williams, who scored one goal each. More assists for Cincinnati came via Oliver Ahlberg, Andrew Bond, Blake Hinds, and Adam Herriott, who contributed one each.

Nashville's starting goalie, Nathan Klebe, made four saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Justin Ball, who stopped 13 shots. The Jr. Predators incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Swords incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
