Evan Hauser recorded a shutout against the Helena Bighorns as the Great Falls Americans picked up a 1-0 win.

Dylan Garton's game-winning tally was the game's only goal. It came at 19:59 in the second period. Adam Apangalook provided the assist.

Great Falls was led by Garton, who had one goal.

The Americans put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Helena to score on any of its four power plays. Great Falls could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Americans put an average of 4.8 pucks into the net per game. The Bighorns were unable to stop Great Falls from sending pucks towards the net, and the Americans eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Helena excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. The Bighorns' offense operated below their season average. Helena averages 5.6 goals per game.
