Behind a great game by Nick Mammel, who had one goal and two assists, the Nashville Jr. Predators defeated the Cincinnati Swords, 6-3.

Mammel scored 19:09 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Nashville. Matiss Gelazis picked up the assist. Mammel dished an assist on Rudolfs Kalvitis's goal that made the score 1-0 Nashville at 2:19 into the first period. He added another helper on Spencer Marchand's goal that made the score 6-3 Nashville at 11:00 into the third period.

Nashville's penalty kill excelled, as the Jr. Predators gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

Nashville's offense rang up 31 shots on Cincinnati's net. The Jr. Predators got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Nashville also had goals scored by Nickolas Tandeski and Colton Anderson, who scored one goal each. In addition, Nashville received assists from Ben Falk, who had two and Topi Samuli Aheristo, Zach Greenwood, Jacob Lainesse, Kyle Van Wyk, Dominic Costello, and Alex Durand, who each chipped in one.

The Swords managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Cincinnati ended up below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game.

The Swords were helped by Drew Hill, who grabbed one goal. Hill scored 10:51 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Cincinnati. Brett Mory provided the assist. Cincinnati also got points from Hunter Schneider, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Cincinnati also got a goal from Andrew Bond as well. More assists for Cincinnati came via Adam Herriott and Adam Goudelock, who contributed one each.

Nathan Klebe rejected 20 shots on goal for Nashville. The Jr. Predators incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. James Schroeder recorded 25 saves for Cincinnati.
