The Chicago Junior Bulldogs pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the Breezy Point North Stars on a clutch goal by Michael Ellis.

Chicago was led by Ellis, who had one goal. Ellis scored on the power play 3:17 into overtime to make the score 4-3 Chicago. The Junior Bulldogs had gotten the advantage when Breezy Point's Joe Costello was sent off for cross checking. Niko Moulakelis picked up the assist.

Chicago forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up six minors and one major for 37 minutes in penalty time. The Junior Bulldogs surpassed its season average of 30.0 penalty minutes per game. Chicago excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Chicago also got points from Toms Taurins, who also registered one goal and one assist and Moulakelis, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Scott Schroeder also scored for Chicago. More assists for Chicago came via Dane Kalas, who had two and Henry Hearon and Nathan Iaciancio, who contributed one each.

The North Stars kept the Junior Bulldogs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Troy Pierce made 37 saves on 40 shots. Breezy Point could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 29 minutes in penalties during the game.

The North Stars were helped by Ryan Mezera, who had one goal. Mezera scored 12:50 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jordan Carey assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Breezy Point included Ryan Herbert and Blake Neumann, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Breezy Point were Linder Kenyon, Sean Viti, Crosby Steen, Yegor Paliy, and Alex Mimmack, who each chipped in one.

Chicago registered two goals on five power play opportunities. Dakota McDonald recorded 21 saves for Breezy Point.
