Breezy Point downs Minnesota, 2-0

Philip Grippi registered one point to lead the Breezy Point North Stars to a 2-0 victory over the Minnesota Flying Aces.

Breezy Point's penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled nine minors and one major for 33 minutes in penalty time. The North Stars surpassed its season average of 28.0 penalty minutes per game. Breezy Point's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Minnesota power plays. The North Stars forced Minnesota goalie Jaxson Gosnell to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

Breezy Point also got a goal from Joe Costello as well. More assists for Breezy Point came via Crosby Steen, Nick Blanchette, and Alex Mimmack, who each chipped in one.

The Flying Aces racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with 12 minors and one major for 39 minutes in penalty time. Minnesota had been averaging 22.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Flying Aces stifled Breezy Point's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Dakota McDonald recorded 19 saves for the North Stars. Breezy Point registered zero goals on eight power play opportunities. Minnesota's Gosnell stopped 29 shots out of the 31 that he faced.
