The Twin City Steel's Aharon Lara had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 6-3 win over the Topeka Capitals.

Lara beat Jacob Pelton with a shot 5:11 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Twin City. Mikko Aho assisted on the tally. Lara dished an assist on James Hale's goal that made the score 1-1 at 3:56 into the second period. He added another helper on Chris Skordilis's goal that made the score 6-3 Twin City at 11:21 into the third period.

Twin City got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Twin City also got points from David Becker, who also registered one goal and one assist. Twin City also had goals scored by Alex Egle and Nicholas Campbell, who scored one goal each. In addition, Twin City received assists from Mathias Ahman, who had two and Kyle Wagner, Russel Barone, Jake McGlocklin, and Bennett Witta, who contributed one each.

Topeka's offense rang up 34 shots on the Steel's net. The Capitals' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Topeka finished with 38 penalty minutes.

The Capitals were helped by Colin OConner, who finished with one goal. OConner scored on the power play 17:59 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Topeka. Topeka earned a power play opportunity when Barone was put in the box for checking from behind. Alex Sauer picked up the assist. Others who scored for Topeka included Joe Stoneburner and Tre Kautzman, who each put in one. More assists for Topeka came via John Crusinberry and Kyle Rimbach, who each chipped in one.

Alec Horwitz rejected 31 shots on goal for Twin City. The Steel incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Pelton recorded 23 saves for the Capitals. Topeka registered one goal on four power play opportunities.
