The Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks had trouble finding ways to stop the Metro Jets, which beat Jr. Lumberjacks, 7-1. Cooper McLean was all over the ice for Metro, as he registered two goals in the win. McLean's tallies came at 12:16 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Metro and 2:15 into the third to make the score 6-1 Metro. The Jets put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Cleveland to score on any of its six power plays. The Jr. Lumberjacks were unable to stop Metro from sending pucks towards the net, and the Jets eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. Metro surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Jets have scored at the pace of 4.2 goals per game during the current campaign. Metro additionally got points from Jacob Gleason, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Zachary Koonce, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Matt Dempsey, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Metro included Andrew Sawyer and Kyle Shreve, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Metro were Pearce Vance, who had two and Alex Holm, Cody Jones, Jake Sealy, and Jason Newel, who contributed one each. Cleveland excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Jr. Lumberjacks kept Metro's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jake Stephan made 33 saves on 34 shots. Cleveland was led by Aaron Schmitt, who scored the team's only goal. Schmitt scored 9:05 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Tyler Houmard provided the assist. The Jets incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Jr. Lumberjacks' Ryan Kostelnik stopped 35 shots out of the 42 that he faced. Cleveland incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
