The Sugar Land Imperials had trouble finding ways to stop the Nashville Jr. Predators, which beat Imperials, 7-1.

Sugar Land was often in penalty trouble, totaling seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 23.0 minutes per game the Imperials had been spending in the box. Sugar Land's offense operated below its season average. The Imperials put an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game. Sugar Land found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 14 shots against Nashville's defense.

The Imperials were led by Mason Smith, who scored the team's only goal. Smith scored 12:23 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Nashville. Ryan Worley provided the assist.

Denijs Romanovskis recorded 13 saves for the Jr. Predators. Nashville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Sugar Land's Timothy OSullivan stopped 51 shots out of the 58 that he faced.
