A hat trick by Trent Kulczyk was the highlight in Jr. Predators' 13-2 win against the Sugar Land Imperials.

Kulczyk got on the scoresheet 6:48 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:00 into the second and at 19:53 into the second.

Sugar Land trailed by one after the first period, but the Nashville Jr. Predators went into the second intermission with a 6-2 lead and never looked back.

The Imperials fell victim to a deadly Nashville power play, which ripped Sugar Land for six goals.

The Jr. Predators forced Imperials' goalies to work in net, firing 57 shots and forcing 44 saves. Nick Ross made 42 stops and Timothy OSullivan made two. Nashville surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Jr. Predators average 6.3 goals per game. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals.

Nashville additionally got points from Rudolfs Kalvitis, who also racked up two goals and one assist, Ben Falk, who also had one goal and one assist, Nickolas Tandeski, who also registered one goal and one assist, Kyle Van Wyk, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Spencer Marchand, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Alex Durand, who also had one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Nashville included Noah Keener, Topi Samuli Aheristo, and Keegan Haines, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Nashville were Colton Anderson, who had two, Jacob Lainesse, who had three, Nicholas Redmon, who had four, and Peter Cabala, Cole Helgemo, Dominic Costello, and Nick Mammel, who contributed one each.

Nashville's defense shut down the Imperials' forwards for much of the game, and Sugar Land got off only 10 shots during the contest. The Imperials struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 24 penalty minutes for 10 opposing power plays.

Sugar Land was led by Matthew Winkle, who registered two goals. Winkle scored the first of his two goals at 10:45 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Nashville. John Cuni assisted on the tally. Winkle's next tally made the score 5-2 Nashville with 2:18 left in the second period. Alex Tilman picked up the assist. In addition, Sugar Land received assists from Frank Muscarella, who had one.

The Jr. Predators' Justin Ball stopped eight shots out of the 10 that he faced. Nashville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Imperials registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
