The Nashville Jr. Predators were firing on all cylinders against the Sugar Land Imperials, and when the final buzzer sounded Jr. Predators emerged with an 8-3 win.

Nashville got the win on the strength of a great game by Dominic Costello, who had one goal and two assists. Costello scored 3:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Nashville.

The Jr. Predators racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with six minors and one major for 37 minutes in penalty time. Nashville surpassed its season average of 18.0 penalty minutes per game. The Jr. Predators forced Imperials' goalies to work all game long, finishing with 52 shots and forcing 44 saves. Timothy OSullivan made 20 stops and Nick Ross made 24. Nashville's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals.

Nashville also got points from Rudolfs Kalvitis, who also racked up one goal and two assists and Ben Falk, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Nashville included Noah Keener, Nickolas Tandeski, Trent Kulczyk, Nicholas Redmon, and Spencer Marchand, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Nashville were Kyle Van Wyk, who had two and Jesse Hyde, Topi Samuli Aheristo, Jacob Lainesse, and Colton Anderson, who contributed one each.

Sugar Land was often in penalty trouble, totaling 12 minors and one major for 39 minutes in penalty time. The Imperials had been averaging 23.0 minutes in penalties per game.

Sugar Land was led by Matthew Jung, who tallied one goal and one assist. Jung scored 15:03 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Nashville. John Cuni provided the assist. Sugar Land also had goals scored by Matthew Winkle and Ryan James, who scored one goal each. In addition, Sugar Land received assists from Frazer Ellis and Aksel Campbell, who each chipped in one.

The Jr. Predators' Nathan Klebe stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Nashville registered three goals on 11 power play opportunities. The Jr. Predators ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Nathaniel Chiarizzio was ejected from the game. The Imperials registered two goals on five power play opportunities.
