Pittsburgh survives Metro comeback, wins 5-3

The Pittsburgh Vengeance, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by the Metro Jets and clinched a 5-3 victory.

Pittsburgh led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Vengeance's Eli Lynn scored at 19:24 in the second period to put Pittsburgh up 4-1.

Nils Markgren was all over the ice for the Vengeance, as he finished with two goals in the win. Markgren scored at 17:25 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Pittsburgh and again while 19:29 into the third to make the score 5-3 Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh also got points from Leo Blore, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Lynn, who also registered one goal and two assists, and Tyler Speis, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. More assists for Pittsburgh came via Cody Black and Parker Henry, who each chipped in one.

Metro was helped by Matt Dempsey, who grabbed one goal. Dempsey scored 2:56 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Pittsburgh. Kyle Shreve provided the assist. Others who scored for Metro included Devin Kelly and Cody Jones, who scored one goal each. In addition, Metro received assists from Andrew Sawyer, who had two and David Chavis, Tyler Layle, and Jake Sealy, who contributed one each.

Pittsburgh's Jacob Stack stopped 20 shots out of the 23 that he faced. The Vengeance incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Kameron Limburg made 22 saves for the Jets on 26 shots. Metro incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
