The Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks had trouble finding ways to stop the Metro Jets, which beat Jr. Lumberjacks, 5-0. Metro got the win thanks to a great game by Alex Holm, who had two goals and one assist. Holm scored the first of his two goals at 19:53 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Metro. Cody Jones assisted on the tally. Holm's next tally made the score 4-0 Metro with 17:04 left in the third period. Cooper McLean picked up the assist. The Jets excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Metro's defensive play was more effective than usual against Cleveland. The Jets average 3.0 goals allowed per game. The Jr. Lumberjacks were unable to stop Metro from sending pucks towards the net, and the Jets eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. The defensemen of Metro were also effective in Cleveland's zone, and came away with two goals. Metro additionally got points from David Chavis, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Metro also had goals scored by Ellis Freatman and Zachary Koonce, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Metro were Pearce Vance, Jacob Gleason, Andrew Sawyer, and Jacob Rutkoske, who each chipped in one. The Jr. Lumberjacks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Metro power plays. Jake Stephan made 20 saves for the Jets on 20 shots. Metro incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Cleveland's Alec Rounds stopped 30 shots out of the 35 that he faced. The Jr. Lumberjacks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
