Pembroke rolls over Kemptville, 5-2

The Kemptville 73s had trouble finding ways to stop the Pembroke Lumber Kings, which beat 73s, 5-2.

Felix Chamberland had one goal and two assists to lead Pembroke. Chamberland scored 5:23 into the second period to make the score 3-0 Pembroke. Adam Beveridge assisted on the tally.

The Lumber Kings' penalty kill excelled, as Pembroke gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays.

The Lumber Kings kept Kemptville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jacob Tugnutt made 28 saves on 33 shots.

Pembroke additionally got points from Hudson Michaelis, who also registered one goal and one assist and Anthony Nellis, who also had one goal and one assist. Pembroke also had goals scored by Ryan Casselman and Stephan Beauvais, who each put in one. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Adam Dauda, who had two and Brendan Valko and Jesse Blais, who each chipped in one.

The 73s were led by Jason Tackett, who racked up one goal and one assist. Tackett scored 6:07 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Pembroke. Erik Brown picked up the assist. Kemptville also got a goal from Brandon Lesway as well. More assists for Kemptville came via Alex Row, who had one.

Pembroke's Jordan Piccolino stopped 28 shots out of the 30 that he faced. The Lumber Kings incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Kemptville incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
