The Brockville Braves could not stop the Ottawa Senators' Shawn Lynch, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-4 win. Lynch's first goal came 4:48 into the first period. He then added goals at 1:35 into the second and at 4:04 into the second.Ottawa stifled Brockville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Senators surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Ottawa averages 3.9 goals per contest. Ottawa also got points from Daniel Sarracco, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Zach Car, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Ottawa included Derek Varrin and Geoffrey Lawson, who each put in one. In addition, Ottawa received assists from Carl Faucher and Jim Pearson, who each chipped in one and Isaac Anderson, Bruno Cheff, and Joey Champigny, who contributed two each. The Braves were helped by Sean King, who registered one goal. King scored 14:27 into the second period to make the score 5-3 Ottawa. Blake Carrick provided the assist. Brockville additionally got points from Eric Israel, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Michael Murray also scored for Brockville. More assists for Brockville came via Jack Billings, Jack Gill, Liam Folkes, and DAndre John, who each chipped in one. Alexandre Savard-Belanger made 23 saves for the Senators on 27 shots. Ottawa incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Mitchell Datz took the loss and made eight saves before being replaced by Bo Taylor who made 14 saves. Brockville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
