The Carleton Place Canadians tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Kemptville 73s held on for a 5-3 victory. Kemptville made the score 5-2 on a goal by Brandon Lesway at 3:36 in the third period, and Carleton Place got as close as 5-3 when Jordan Larson scored 13:49 into the third period. Cody Hendsbee was all over the ice for the 73s, as he tallied one goal and three assists in the win. Hendsbee scored on the power play 15:13 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Kemptville. Kemptville had gotten the advantage when the Canadians' Devin Campbell was sent off for elbowing. Jason Tackett picked up the assist. The 73s stifled Carleton Place's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Kemptville additionally got points from Erik Brown, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Kemptville included Brandon Cole and Jake Gaudet, who scored one goal each. In addition, Kemptville received assists from Alex Row, who had one and Matt Tugnutt, who had two. The Canadians' defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. Carleton Place gives up 2.1 goals per game. Carleton Place also got points from Andy Sturtz, who also had one goal and one assist. Carleton Place also got a goal from Vinny Post as well. More assists for Carleton Place came via Connor Merkley, who had two. Jacob Tugnutt made 22 saves for Kemptville on 25 shots. The 73s incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Canadians' starting goalie, Adrian Clark, made 11 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Guillaume Therien, who stopped 10 shots. Carleton Place incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
