The Kemptville 73s survived a determined comeback attempt by the Nepean Raiders on the way to a 5-3 win. Kemptville made the score 5-1 on a goal by Jake Gaudet at 9:51 in the third period, and Nepean got as close as 5-3 when Rory Garlasco scored 15:20 into the third period. The 73s forced the Raiders' goalies to work in net, getting 38 shots and forcing 33 saves. John Gilmer made 29 stops and Francis Marotte made four. Kemptville was led by Erik Brown, who finished with one goal and one assist. Brown scored on the power play 2:21 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kemptville. The 73s earned a power play opportunity when Garlasco was put in the box for tripping. Jason Tackett picked up the assist. Others who scored for Kemptville included Brandon Lesway, Owen Guy, and Alex Row, who scored one goal each. In addition, Kemptville received assists from Tyson Kirkby, Dean Galasso, and Shawn Cameron, who contributed one each and Kaelan OFlynn and Cody Hendsbee, who each chipped in two. Nepean forced Kemptville goalie Nicholas Hodgins to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. The Raiders were helped by William White, who registered one goal. White scored 14:29 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Kemptville. Chad Malinowski provided the assist. Josh Zizek also scored for Nepean. Other players who recorded assists for Nepean were Felix Page, Matthew Mercer, Zach Renfrew, and Adel Zivojevic, who contributed one each. Nicholas Hodgins made 38 saves for the 73s on 41 shots.
