Carleton Place beats Brockville 2-0 as Clark gains shutout

Adrian Clark made 27 saves to complete the shutout and led the Carleton Place Canadians to a 2-0 win against the Brockville Braves.

Carleton Place was paced by Craig Pefley, who grabbed one goal. Pefley scored 7:30 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Carleton Place. Maxime StPierre provided the assist.

The Canadians put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Brockville to score on any of its four power plays.

Andy Sturtz also scored for Carleton Place. In addition, Carleton Place received assists from Devin Campbell, Tyson Stewart, and Jordan Larson, who contributed one each.

The Braves' offense operated below their season average. Brockville averages 3.4 goals per game.

Carleton Place incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Bo Taylor rejected 23 shots on goal for the Braves. Brockville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
