The Gloucester Rangers survived a determined comeback attempt by the Hawkesbury Hawks on the way to a 5-3 win.

Gloucester made the score 5-2 on a goal by Max Veronneau at 15:21 in the third period, and Hawkesbury got as close as 5-3 when Jonathan Cyr scored 19:08 into the third period.

The Rangers were led by Matt Adams, who had one goal and one assist. Adams scored 6:03 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Gloucester. Jaren Burke picked up the assist.

Gloucester's offense rang up 36 shots on the Hawks' net.

Gloucester also got points from Ryan Kuffner, who also had one goal and one assist, Matt Foget, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, and Veronneau, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Gloucester also got a goal from Antonio Micucci as well. In addition, Gloucester received assists from Dorian Dawson and Zachary Borsoi, who each chipped in one.

Hawkesbury kept the Rangers' goalie busy throughout the game, and David Richer made 41 saves on 44 shots.

The Hawks were led by Alex Anderson, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Anderson scored 17:01 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Gloucester. Liam Alcalde assisted on the tally. Hawkesbury additionally got points from CJ Stubbs, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Hawkesbury were Ross Mandigo and Chris Harper, who contributed one each.

Gloucester incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Gunner Rivers recorded 31 saves for Hawkesbury. The Hawks finished the contest with no penalties and went 1-for-3 with the man advantage.
