The Carleton Place Canadians had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over the Smiths Falls Bears. Carleton Place forced Bears' goalies to work in net, getting 33 shots and forcing 28 saves. Michael Pinios made 11 stops and Cole Skinner made 17. The Canadians were helped by Stephen Baylis, who racked up one goal. Baylis scored 8:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Carleton Place. Andy Sturtz assisted on the tally. Carleton Place additionally got points from Adam Lloyd, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Carleton Place also had goals scored by Connor Merkley, Bryce VanHorn, and Andrew Dodson, who each put in one. In addition, Carleton Place received assists from Wesley Baker, who had two and Devin Campbell, Tyson Stewart, Ryan Daniel, Jordan Larson, and Nicolas Mucci, who contributed one each. Smiths Falls kept Carleton Place's goalie busy throughout the game, and Guillaume Therien made 33 saves on 35 shots. The Bears were led by Cole Busschaert, who had one goal. Busschaert scored on the power play 11:04 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Carleton Place. Smiths Falls had gotten the advantage when the Canadians' Stewart was sent off for tripping. Josh Leblanc provided the assist. Olivier Chabot also scored for Smiths Falls. Carleton Place incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Bears incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
