The Kemptville 73s relied on the sparkling performance of Jacob Tugnutt in net to grab a 4-1 win against the Pembroke Lumber Kings.

Kemptville was sparked by Matt Tugnutt, who had one goal and one assist. Tugnutt scored on the power play 16:26 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Kemptville. The 73s had gotten the advantage when Pembroke's Felix Chamberland was sent off for slashing. Kaelan OFlynn picked up the assist.

Kemptville also had goals scored by Brandon Lesway, Alex Row, and Shawn Cameron, who each put in one. In addition, Kemptville received assists from Jason Tackett, who had two and Tyson Kirkby, Shane Riddell, and Dean Galasso, who each chipped in one.

The Lumber Kings were held below their usual level of production. Pembroke puts an average of 4.0 pucks into the net per game. The Lumber Kings kept Kemptville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Tugnutt made 47 saves on 48 shots.

Pembroke was led by Adam Dauda, who scored the team's only goal. Dauda scored 1:28 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Kemptville. Jesse Blais assisted on the tally.

The 73s incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Lumber Kings' Joel Horodziejczyk stopped 25 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Pembroke incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
