Huge game by Patulli boosts Cornwall over Kanata, 7-4

The Cornwall Colts' Ryan Patulli had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 7-4 win over the Kanata Stallions.

Patulli got on the board by slotting home a goal 9:48 into the third period to make the score 5-2 Cornwall. Tristen Elie assisted on the tally. Patulli dished an assist on Jeremy McFarlane's goal that made the score 4-2 Cornwall at 18:26 into the second period. He added another helper on Nick Lalonde's goal that made the score 6-3 Cornwall at 16:28 into the third period.

Cornwall forced Stallions' goalies to work without much rest, totaling 40 shots and forcing 33 saves. Brian Wilson made 17 stops and Kevan Dumouchel made 16. The Colts' goal total was higher than their season average. Cornwall averages 3.6 goals per game.

Cornwall additionally got points from Hugo Petit, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Cornwall also had goals scored by Lawson MacDonald, Keegan Mulhearn, and Marly Quince, who scored one goal each. More assists for Cornwall came via Lawson MacDougall, who had two and Jay DAmour, Peter Angelopoulos, and Zac Tierney, who each chipped in one.

Kanata stifled the Colts' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Stallions' offense rang up 34 shots on Cornwall's net.

Kanata was led by Tyler ONeill, who registered one goal and one assist. ONeill scored on the power play 13:54 into the third period to make the score 5-3 Cornwall. A tripping penalty on Simon Besner had put the Stallions on the power play. Jean-Philippe Langlois picked up the assist. Others who scored for Kanata included Domenic Camastra, Ian Johnston, and Nicholas Turenko, who each put in one. In addition, Kanata received assists from Bryce Biller, Cameron Radziwon, James Thomson, and Arik Breton, who contributed one each.

Denny Dubblestyne made 30 saves for the Colts on 34 shots. Cornwall incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Kanata incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
