The Hawkesbury Hawks had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-0 win over the Nepean Raiders. Hawkesbury was sparked by Tristan Perreault-Gagnon, who had one goal. Perreault-Gagnon scored 10:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Hawkesbury. Ross Mandigo picked up the assist. The Hawks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Nepean power plays. Hawkesbury's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals. Hawkesbury also got a goal from Damien Charette as well. Other players who recorded assists for Hawkesbury were Pierre Ouellette, who had two, Rory Gagnon, who had three, and Jonathan Cyr and Chris Harper, who contributed one each. Nepean could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Raiders average 3.4 goals per game. Nepean's penalty kill unit could not stop the Hawks' power play, which converted on three of three opportunities. Hawkesbury's Gunner Rivers stopped 21 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Hawks ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. For Hawkesbury, Cyr was ejected from the game. Daniel Urbani rejected 19 shots on goal for the Raiders. Nepean ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. The Raiders ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mac MacSorley was ejected from the game.
