Pembroke squeaks by Cornwall, 3-2

The game between the Pembroke Lumber Kings and the Cornwall Colts was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Pembroke emerged with a 3-2 win.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Jacob Collins secured the win for the Lumber Kings with a goal in the second period.

Pembroke was led by Ryan Casselman, who registered one goal and one assist. Casselman scored 7:20 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Pembroke.

Cornwall was unable to stop the Lumber Kings from sending pucks towards the net, and Pembroke eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Connor Rankin also scored for Pembroke. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Owen McDade and Justin Felhaber, who each chipped in one.

The Colts' offense rang up 31 shots on the Lumber Kings' net.

Cornwall was helped by Thomas Hargrave, who racked up one goal. Hargrave scored 14:30 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Pembroke. Nick Lalonde picked up the assist. Cornwall also got a goal from Jay DAmour as well.

Pembroke's Connor Hughes stopped 29 shots out of the 31 that he faced. The Lumber Kings incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Denny Dubblestyne made 32 saves for the Colts on 35 shots. Cornwall incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
