The Cornwall Colts and the Pembroke Lumber Kings were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Cornwall made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Kevin Hope at 9:13 of the second period. The Colts were paced by Jay DAmour, who finished with one goal and one assist. DAmour scored 4:40 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Cornwall. Cornwall excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Colts forced Pembroke goalie Sean Green to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. Others who scored for Cornwall included Grant Cooper and Marly Quince, who scored one goal each. More assists for Cornwall came via Peter Angelopoulos, who had two and Ross Craig and Zac Tierney, who contributed one each. The Lumber Kings stifled Cornwall's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Pembroke's offense rang up 34 shots on the Colts' net. The Lumber Kings were helped by Liam Biard, who grabbed one goal. Biard scored 15:10 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Connor Rankin picked up the assist. Pembroke also got points from Justin Felhaber, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Felix Chamberland and Stephan Beauvais, who each chipped in one. Cornwall's Denny Dubblestyne stopped 32 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The Colts incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Green rejected 29 shots on goal for Pembroke.
