King's big game bests Pembroke in 6-3 Brockville win

Behind a great game by Sean King, who had one goal and two assists, the Brockville Braves defeated the Pembroke Lumber Kings, 6-3.

King scored 11:03 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Brett Horn picked up the assist.

In the losing effort, Pembroke was sparked by Hudson Michaelis, who had two goals. Michaelis scored the first of his two goals at 18:55 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Pembroke. Horn provided the assist. Michaelis' next tally made the score 4-3 Pembroke with 13:42 left in the third period. Horn assisted on the tally.

Brockville put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Lumber Kings to score on any of their four power plays.

Brockville also got points from Jack Billings, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Brockville included Brett Van Stralen, Tyler Greenberg, Blake Carrick, and Liam Folkes, who scored one goal each. In addition, Brockville received assists from Andrew Peski, who had two and Eric Israel, Tre Folkes, and Jack Gill, who contributed one each.

Pembroke's offense rang up 31 shots on the Braves' net.

Pembroke also had goals scored by Ryan Casselman and Justin Felhaber, who each put in one. More assists for Pembroke came via Colton Keuhl, Dylan Chase, Alexandre Boivin, and Liam Biard, who each chipped in one.

David Poirier made 28 saves for Brockville on 31 shots. The Braves incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Joel Horodziejczyk recorded 22 saves for the Lumber Kings. Pembroke incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
