Carleton Place boosted by Clark's play in net, beats Cornwall 2-1Ed Lumley Arena Thu, Oct 09, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
Adrian Clark stood on his head and made 33 saves to lead the Carleton Place Canadians to a 2-1 victory over the Cornwall Colts. Carleton Place pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes. The Canadians were sparked by AJ Klein, who finished with one goal and one assist. Klein scored 3:07 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Carleton Place. Tyson Stewart picked up the assist. Carleton Place stifled Cornwall's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Carleton Place also got a goal from Stephen Baylis as well. More assists for Carleton Place came via Devin Campbell and Nicolas Mucci, who contributed one each. The Colts did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Cornwall averages 3.3 goals per game. The Colts forced the Canadians goalie Clark to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Cornwall was led by Grant Cooper, who scored the team's only goal.
