The Pembroke Lumber Kings opened up a four-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 9-1 win over the Kanata Stallions. Alexandre Boivin had one goal and three assists to lead Pembroke. Boivin scored 17:42 into the second period to make the score 7-1 Pembroke. Anthony Nellis assisted on the tally. Kanata was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as the Lumber Kings were able to score four times while on the power play. Pembroke forced Stallions' netminders to work without much rest, racking up 51 shots and forcing 42 saves. Brian Wilson made 40 stops and Jesse Shoeman made two. The Lumber Kings stifled the Stallions' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Pembroke found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Lumber Kings average 4.2 goals per contest. Pembroke could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game. Pembroke additionally got points from Felix Chamberland, who also grabbed two goals and one assist, Adam Dauda, who also had one goal and one assist, Nellis, who also registered two goals and one assist, and Justin Felhaber, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Pembroke included Brett du Puy and Jesse Blais, who each put in one. More assists for Pembroke came via Zachary Borsoi, Jacob Collins, and Stephan Beauvais, who each chipped in one and Dylan Chase, Liam Biard, and Brett Horn, who contributed two each. Kanata could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 20 minutes in penalties during the game. Joel Horodziejczyk made 16 saves for the Lumber Kings on 17 shots. The Stallions registered zero goals on six power play opportunities.
