Kanata downs Kemptville in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

The Kanata Stallions pulled out a 5-4 (OT) overtime victory over the Kemptville 73s on a clutch goal by Bryce Biller.

Kanata was led by Biller, who racked up one goal. Biller scored 5:20 into overtime to make the score 5-4 Kanata. Ian Johnston picked up the assist.

In the losing effort, Kemptville was sparked by Shawn Cameron, who registered two goals. Cameron scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 10:30 into the first period to make the score 1-1. A tripping penalty on James Thomson had put the 73s on the power play. Owen Guy assisted on the tally. Cameron's next tally on the power play made the score 4-3 Kemptville with 10:42 left in the third period. Brandon Cole provided the assist.

Kemptville was unable to stop the Stallions from sending pucks towards the net, and Kanata eventually piled up 41 shots on goal. The Stallions' goal total was higher than their season average. Kanata has scored at the pace of 1.9 goal per game during the current campaign.

Kanata additionally got points from Domenic Camastra, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Johnston, who also had one goal and one assist, and Nic Marchand, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Kanata also got a goal from Tyler ONeill as well. In addition, Kanata received assists from Ethan MacLean, Cameron Rodziwon, Brock Stashick, Joey Laird, Devin Fullum, and Mike Tropea, who each chipped in one.

The 73s' offense rang up 47 shots on the Stallions' net.

Kemptville also got points from Erik Brown, who also registered one goal and one assist. Alex Row also scored for Kemptville. More assists for Kemptville came via Kaelan OFlynn, Jason Tackett, and Matt Tugnutt, who contributed one each.

Jesse Michel made 43 saves for Kanata on 47 shots. The Stallions incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jacob Tugnutt recorded 36 saves for Kemptville. The 73s incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
