Cornwall survives Gloucester comeback, wins 4-2Earl Armstrong Arena Fri, Sep 26, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Gloucester Rangers tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Cornwall Colts held on for a 4-2 victory. Cornwall took a 4-1 lead during the third period, only to have Gloucester storm back on a Joey Fallon goal 3:38 into the third period to pull to two goals down. Kevin Hope had a great game for the Colts, netting two goals. Hope's tallies came at 12:31 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cornwall and on the power play 15:34 into the first to make the score 2-0 Cornwall. Cornwall also got points from Cal Hofford, who also had one goal and one assist. Ben Poirier also scored for Cornwall. Other players who recorded assists for Cornwall were Keegan Mulhearn, Marly Quince, Jeremy McFarlane, Hugo Petit, Lawson MacDougall, and Peter Angelopoulos, who contributed one each. The Rangers kept Cornwall's goalie busy throughout the game, and Denny Dubblestyne made 32 saves on 34 shots. Gloucester also got a goal from Ryan Kuffner as well. In addition, Gloucester received assists from Zackhary Salloum, Matt Foget, and Logan Blaser, who each chipped in one. The Colts incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. David Richer made 25 saves for Gloucester on 29 shots. The Rangers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. |
