Behind a great game by Mac MacSorley, who had one goal and two assists, the Nepean Raiders defeated the Kanata Stallions, 5-1. MacSorley scored 9:51 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Nepean. Broydon Stufko assisted on the tally. MacSorley dished an assist on Felix Page's goal that made the score 1-0 Nepean at 3:19 into the first period. He added another helper on Stufko's goal that made the score 5-1 Nepean at 8:59 into the third period.Nepean kept Kanata's goalie busy throughout the game, and Brian Wilson made 38 saves on 43 shots. Nepean also got points from Stufko, who also registered one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Nepean included Diego Gagnon and Brandon Belding, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Nepean were Josh Zizek, who had three and Brandon Watt, Luke McCaw, and Rory Garlasco, who each chipped in one. The Raiders were unable to stop the Stallions from sending pucks towards the net, and Kanata eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. The Stallions were led by Domenic Camastra, who scored the team's only goal. Camastra scored on the power play 12:42 into the first period to make the score 1-1. A roughing penalty on Jody Sullivan had put Kanata on the power play. Jean-Philippe Langlois provided the assist. Will King recorded 32 saves for Nepean. The Raiders incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Stallions incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
