Pembroke falls to Nepean in overtime, 3-2 (OT)Nepean Sportsplex Rink 1 Wed, Sep 03, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Nepean Raiders pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over the Pembroke Lumber Kings on a clutch goal by Felix Page. Nepean was paced by Page, who racked up one goal. Page scored 5:06 into overtime to make the score 3-2 Nepean. The Raiders' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Pembroke power plays. Nepean's offense rang up 36 shots on Pembroke's net. Others who scored for Nepean included Brandon Watt and Jack Kilrea, who each put in one. In addition, Nepean received assists from Chad Malinowski, Broydon Stufko, William White, and Tristan Perreault-Gagnon, who contributed one each. The Lumber Kings stifled the Raiders' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Nepean was unable to stop Pembroke from sending pucks towards the net, and the Lumber Kings eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. Pembroke was helped by Adam Dauda, who registered one goal. Dauda scored 13:23 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Chris Minns provided the assist. Felix Chamberland also scored for Pembroke. More assists for Pembroke came via Nolan Redler and Anthony Nellis, who each chipped in one. The Raiders' Leif Hertz stopped 30 shots out of the 32 that he faced. Nepean incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Joel Horodziejczyk made 33 saves for the Lumber Kings on 36 shots. Pembroke incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
