Kingston outlasts Lindsay, 3-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Kingston Voyageurs escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Lindsay Muskies.

Kingston gained the winning advantage on a goal by Adam Brady 13:55 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer.

The Voyageurs were paced by Brady, who finished with one goal and one assist.

Kingston forced Lindsay goalie Boyd Diclemente to work between the pipes, taking 55 shots.

Others who scored for Kingston included Cole Bolton and Matt Hoover, who scored one goal each. In addition, Kingston received assists from Zachary Emelifeonwu, Joey Beaudoin, Colin Tonge, and Spencer Green, who contributed one each.

The Muskies stifled the Voyageurs' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Lindsay was helped by Keegan Cairns, who registered one goal. Cairns scored 6:54 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Kingston. Cole Langfield assisted on the tally. Lindsay also got a goal from Mathew Lewis as well. Other players who recorded assists for Lindsay were Joseph Vocino, who had one.

Daniel Urbani recorded 25 saves for Kingston. The Voyageurs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Boyd Diclemente made 52 saves for the Muskies on 55 shots. Lindsay totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. For the Muskies, John Macdonald was ejected from the game.
