Argiropoulos, St. Michaels blank Toronto Jr. Canadiens, 2-0

George Argiropoulos recorded a shutout against the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens as the St. Michaels Buzzers picked up a 2-0 win.

St. Michaels was sparked by Thomas Beretta, who registered one goal. Beretta scored 12:28 into the second period to make the score 1-0 St. Michaels.

The Buzzers forced Toronto Jr. Canadiens goalie Daniel Lopapa to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

St. Michaels also got a goal from Scott Teskey as well. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Luca Doctor and Matt Pepler, who contributed one each.

The Junior Canadiens' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three St. Michaels power plays. Toronto Jr. Canadiens' offense operated below its season average. The Junior Canadiens average 3.3 goals per game. St. Michaels was unable to stop Toronto Jr. Canadiens from sending pucks towards the net, and the Junior Canadiens eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

George Argiropoulos made 37 saves for the Buzzers on 37 shots. Lopapa recorded 35 saves for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. The Junior Canadiens incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities.
