The Aurora Tigers' Cameron Morrison had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in his team's 5-1 win over the Buffalo Jr. Sabres. Morrison scored 4:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Aurora. Noah Delmas picked up the assist. Morrison dished an assist on Johnny Curran's goal that made the score 2-0 Aurora at 13:43 into the first period. He then added assists on Vince Figliomeni's goal at 18 seconds into the second and on Drake Board's goal at 15:01 into the second.Aurora's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Buffalo power plays. Aurora also got points from Board, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Delmas, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Curran, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Figliomeni, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Buffalo did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Jr. Sabres average 3.2 goals per game. Andy Munroe made 19 saves for the Tigers on 20 shots. Aurora incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Nate Skidmore took the loss and made nine saves before being replaced by Alex Connal who made seven saves. Buffalo incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. |
