The Oakville Blades' Ryan Burns had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 7-0 win over the Lindsay Muskies. Burns found the back of the net 2:44 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Oakville and again while 15:40 into the first to make the score 3-0 Oakville.Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 8:44 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with three game misconducts. Oakville's defensive play was more effective than usual against Lindsay. The Blades average 2.5 goals allowed per game. The Muskies were unable to stop Oakville from sending pucks towards the net, and the Blades eventually piled up 41 shots on goal. Oakville's goal total was higher than its season average. The Blades average 3.7 goals per game. Oakville was ineffective while on the power play, as it was held to two goals off of 11 man advantages. Oakville also got points from Zachary Gallant, who also had one goal and one assist and Josh Kosack, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Oakville included Brandon Hughes, Max Lindsay, and Christian Rajic, who each put in one. In addition, Oakville received assists from Cole Buchan, Sean Kohler, Jackson Bales, and Greg Campbell, who each chipped in one and Kyle Potts and Kamil Tkaczuk, who contributed two each. Lindsay racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with nine minors and three majors for 63 minutes in penalty time. The Muskies surpassed its season average of 19.0 penalty minutes per game. Lindsay was held below its usual level of production. The Muskies put an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game. Daniel Mannella recorded 18 saves for the Blades. Oakville ended with 31 minutes in penalty time with three minors and three majors. For the Blades, Hughes, Vince Palermo, and Campbell were ejected from the contest. Brett Chandler made 34 saves for Lindsay on 41 shots. The Muskies registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. Team's Mackenzie Heber, John Macdonald, Brock Spear, Keegan Cairns, and Matt Tustin were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
