Georgetown survives Cobourg comeback, wins 3-2Alcott Sat, Feb 07, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Cobourg Cougars tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Georgetown Raiders held on for a 3-2 victory. A goal by Eric Eustace put Georgetown up 3-1 in the third period, but Cobourg pulled to within one on Connor Hogg's tally 7:59 into the third period. The Raiders were paced by Eustace, who registered one goal. Eustace scored 1:03 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Georgetown. Steve Hladin provided the assist. Georgetown forced the Cougars goalie Stefano Durante to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. Others who scored for Georgetown included Brendan Jacome and Josh Dickinson, who scored one goal each. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Blake Jones, who had one and Anthony Marra, who had two. Cobourg excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Cobourg also got a goal from Dawson Theede as well. More assists for Cobourg came via Connor Armour, who had two and Ryan OGrady and Matt Carroll, who each chipped in one. The Raiders' Marc Williams stopped 20 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Georgetown incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Durante recorded 29 saves for the Cougars. Cobourg incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
