Nicholas Lepone netted a hat trick to lead the Hamilton Red Wings over the Orangeville Flyers, 6-5. Lepone's first goal came 8:43 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:34 into the second and at 13:13 into the second.Hamilton managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Red Wings wound up below its season average of 14.0 penalty minutes per game. Hamilton kept Orangeville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Nicholas Latinovich made 31 saves on 37 shots. The Red Wings surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Hamilton averages 3.6 goals per contest. Hamilton also got points from Josh LaFrance, who also registered one goal and one assist and Laine McKay, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Otis Goldman also scored for Hamilton.
