Georgetown downs Buffalo in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Georgetown Raiders' Anthony Marra scored 27 seconds into overtime to beat the Buffalo Jr. Sabres, 3-2 (OT).

Marra was all over the ice for Georgetown, as he finished with two goals in the win.

The Raiders stifled Buffalo's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Georgetown's offense rang up 31 shots on the Jr. Sabres' net. The Raiders could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game.

Georgetown also got a goal from Eric Eustace as well. More assists for Georgetown came via Steve Hladin, who had two and Jake Clements, Liam Clare, and Blake Jones, who each chipped in one.

Buffalo found itself short handed often, totaling 26 penalty minutes and allowing seven power plays.

The Jr. Sabres were led by Ryan Kuhn, who registered two goals. Kuhn scored the first of his two goals at 4:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Buffalo. Christopher Berger picked up the assist. Kuhn's next tally made the score 2-1 Buffalo with 9:58 left in the second period. Buffalo was on a disadvantage when Aiden Salerno went off the ice for cross checking. Josh Gabriel assisted on the tally. Other players who recorded assists for Buffalo were Wilson Vershay, who had one.

Jack LaFontaine recorded 20 saves for Georgetown. The Jr. Sabres' Nate Skidmore stopped 28 shots out of the 31 that he faced. Buffalo registered zero goals on five power play opportunities.
