Lindsay pulls away in second, rolls over Toronto Jr. Canadiens, 6-2

The Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens allowed the Lindsay Muskies to net three goals during the second period and fell, 6-2.

Lindsay pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 16 penalty minutes.

The Muskies were led by Matthew Marchese, who finished with one goal. Marchese scored 1:04 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Lindsay. Stuart Fierheller picked up the assist.

Lindsay outdid its season average for goals scored. The Muskies have scored at the pace of 3.1 goals per game during the current campaign.

Others who scored for Lindsay included Brock Spear, who had two and Jack Scanlan, Austin Eastman, and Logan DeNoble, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Lindsay were Owen Barnett, Jeff Wilson, Keegan Cairns, and Matt Tustin, who contributed one each and James Allen and Joseph Vocino, who each chipped in two.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Junior Canadiens kept Lindsay's goalie busy throughout the game, and Boyd Diclemente made 46 saves on 48 shots.

Daniel Lopapa made 22 saves for Toronto Jr. Canadiens on 27 shots. The Junior Canadiens incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
