McKeown nets hat trick, leads Wellington to 4-2 win over StouffvilleWellington CC Sun, Jan 25, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Joe McKeown lifted the Wellington Dukes to a 4-2 victory with a hat trick against the Stouffville Spirit. McKeown's first goal came 16:04 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:42 into the third and at 19:35 into the third.Wellington's offense rang up 38 shots on Stouffville's net. Luc Brown also scored for Wellington. Other players who recorded assists for Wellington were Jacob Panetta, who had three and Jacob Hetherington and Will Cook, who contributed one each. The Spirit were helped by Nathan Hudgin, who tallied one goal. Hudgin scored 3:48 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Spencer Roberts assisted on the tally. Stouffville also got a goal from Tyson Bruce as well. In addition, Stouffville received assists from Alex Gilmour, who had one. Daniel Potter made 28 saves for the Dukes on 30 shots. Wellington incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Stouffville's Aaron Taylor stopped 34 shots out of the 37 that he faced. The Spirit incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. |
