Georgetown rolls over Mississauga, 5-1

The Georgetown Raiders had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over the Mississauga Chargers.

Steve Hladin had one goal and three assists to lead Georgetown. Hladin scored 3:28 into the third period to make the score 5-1 Georgetown. Jordan Brown provided the assist.

The Raiders forced Mississauga goalie Mitchell Heck to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots.

Georgetown also had goals scored by Josh Dickinson, who had two and Wyatt Hicken and John Adams, who each put in one. More assists for Georgetown came via Liam Clare and Scott Emerson, who each chipped in one and Anthony Marra and Blake Jones, who contributed two each.

The Chargers did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Mississauga puts an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game.

Marc Williams recorded 21 saves for Georgetown. The Raiders ended with nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and had no power play opportunities. For Georgetown, Nick Iafrate was ejected from the game. Mitchell Heck made 41 saves for the Chargers on 46 shots. Mississauga avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored one goal off of four power plays.
