Toronto Patriots squeaks by Lindsay, 4-3

The Toronto Patriots Patriots gutted out a close 4-3 win against the Lindsay Muskies.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Nicholas Ursitti's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.

Toronto Patriots got the win behind a great game by Ursitti, who had one goal and two assists. Ursitti scored on the power play 15:13 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Toronto Patriots. The Patriots earned a power play opportunity when James Allen was put in the box for cross checking. Nathan Feric picked up the assist.

Toronto Patriots kept Lindsay's goalie busy throughout the game, and Boyd Diclemente made 27 saves on 31 shots.

Toronto Patriots additionally got points from Feric, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Toronto Patriots included Jacob Hayhurst and Jeremy Pullara, who each put in one. More assists for Toronto Patriots came via Mario Ferraro, who had two and Tyler Currie, Brett Markham, and Quinn Syrydiuk, who contributed one each.

The Muskies were helped by Logan DeNoble, who finished with one goal. DeNoble scored 17:59 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Austin Eastman also scored for Lindsay. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Mathew Lewis, Brandon Washer, and Keegan Cairns, who each chipped in one.

Mathew Robson made 22 saves for the Patriots on 25 shots. Toronto Patriots incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Lindsay incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
