Trenton survives Toronto Patriots comeback, wins 5-3

The Trenton Golden Hawks came close to giving away a three-goal lead to the Toronto Patriots Patriots, but did just enough to escape with a 5-3 victory.

Trenton led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Golden Hawks' Liam Morgan scored at 12:16 in the third period to put Trenton up 4-1.

Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

The Golden Hawks were led by Hunter Fargey, who racked up one goal and one assist. Fargey scored 18:24 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Trenton. Chrisitian Lloyd provided the assist. Trenton also had goals scored by Loren Ulett, Blayne Oliver, and Nick Santoro, who each put in one. In addition, Trenton received assists from Kevin Lavoie, Tyler Donaldson, Michael Siddall, Bobby Polachek, Justin Kapelmaster, and Braden Hellems, who each chipped in one.

Toronto Patriots was helped by Jeremy Pullara, who grabbed one goal. Pullara scored 2:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Patriots. Nico Gonzalez assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Toronto Patriots included Tyler Currie and Mitch Emerson, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Patriots were Niko Kovachis, Marcus Rose, Nathan Feric, and Nicholas Ursitti, who contributed one each.

Trenton's Kapelmaster stopped 25 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Golden Hawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Mathew Robson made 19 saves for the Patriots on 23 shots. Toronto Patriots incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
