The Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens beat the Toronto Patriots Patriots, 4-2, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout. A goal 4:17 into the first period by Anthony Repaci proved to be the game winner, and powered Toronto Jr. Canadiens to the victory. Sal Filice picked up the assist.The Junior Canadiens got the win with help from a great game by Nicholas Jarzabek, who had two goals and one assist. Jarzabek scored the first of his two goals at 6:17 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Luca Farrace assisted on the tally. Jarzabek's next tally made the score 4-2 Toronto Jr. Canadiens with 17:03 left in the third period. Toronto Jr. Canadiens was on a disadvantage when Kennedy Duguid went off the ice for goalie interference. Toronto Patriots was unable to stop the Junior Canadiens from sending pucks towards the net, and Toronto Jr. Canadiens eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Ryan MacSpadyen also scored for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Jr. Canadiens were Kevin Hancock and Michael Cuddemi, who each chipped in one. The Patriots put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Junior Canadiens to score on any of their four power plays. Toronto Patriots was helped by Jacob Hayhurst, who registered two goals. Hayhurst scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 6:42 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. A goalie interference penalty on Duguid had put the Patriots on the power play. Niko Kovachis picked up the assist. Hayhurst's next tally on the power play made the score 3-2 Toronto Jr. Canadiens with 19 seconds left in the second period. Nicholas Ursitti assisted on the tally.
