Repaci's goals lift Toronto Jr. Canadiens to 5-1 victory over MiltonMilton Memorial Arena Fri, Jan 09, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Anthony Repaci had two goals to lead the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens to a 5-1 victory over the Milton Icehawks. Repaci scored at 5:21 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while on the power play 5:12 into the third to make the score 3-1 Toronto Jr. Canadiens.Toronto Jr. Canadiens was led by goalie Nathan Colitto, who finished with 26 saves while allowing one goal. Colitto certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.17 entering the contest. The Junior Canadiens put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Milton to score on any of its four power plays. Toronto Jr. Canadiens forced the Icehawks goalie Cosimo Lazzarino to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots. Kennedy Duguid also scored for Toronto Jr. Canadiens. In addition, Toronto Jr. Canadiens received assists from Ryan MacSpadyen and Dakota Brancatella, who each chipped in one and Luca Farrace, Justin Maiolino, and Aaron Spivak, who contributed two each. Milton was led by Brett Melanson, who scored the team's only goal. Melanson scored 2:02 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Milton. Kevin Fitzpatrick provided the assist. The Junior Canadiens incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Lazzarino recorded 37 saves for the Icehawks. Milton incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
