Stouffville's Brill-Morgan deadly on offense in 4-1 win against Aurora

Christopher Brill-Morgan was all over the ice for the Stouffville Spirit, as he tallied two goals in Stouffville's 4-1 win over the Aurora Tigers.

Brill-Morgan's tallies came on the power play at 12:01 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Stouffville and on the power play 19:49 into the first to make the score 2-0 Stouffville.

The Spirit were led by goalie Aaron Taylor, who finished with 43 saves while allowing one goal. Taylor certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.03 entering the contest.

Stouffville additionally got points from Brodie Tutton, who also registered one goal and one assist. Stouffville also got a goal from Robert Clark as well. More assists for Stouffville came via Cameron Lintner, who had three and Jordan Nesbitt, Alex Gilmour, Nathan Hudgin, and Joseph Deveny, who contributed one each.

Aurora's offense operated below its season average. The Tigers put an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game. Aurora forced Stouffville goalie Taylor to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots.

The Tigers were led by Eric Williams, who scored the team's only goal. Williams scored on the power play 4:13 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Stouffville. Aurora had gotten the advantage when the Spirit's Tyson Bruce was sent off for interference. Drake Board assisted on the tally.

Stouffville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Tigers' Andy Munroe stopped 16 shots out of the 20 that he faced. Aurora incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
